I love supporting small businesses, not only because you know your money is going directly to someone’s livelihood but also because it’s usually at those small shops that I find the best, most unique gifts. Here’s a list of our favorites (I have affiliate links at a couple that I’ve supported for years, and others are just shops that I love and want to share)! I’d love to hear what you’d add.
Letters and Laurels is the sweetest little shop full of unique canvas’, banners, pennants, and flags. I purchased the C.S. Lewis quote canvas and the “Read Me A Story” pennant for the playroom a few months ago and they’re beautiful. Carli graciously offered a discount code for you to receive 10% off your order; just use code EMILY10 at checkout!
Just discovered Brown Parcel Press and gosh, it’s lovely. Their cards and calendar would make the perfect gifts.
NotPERFECTLINEN has a beautiful selection of women’s clothing and home products. I have a dress that works perfectly for maternity and non-maternity that I’ve gotten tons of use out of. Currently trying to make my own homemade linen apron with my mom, inspired by the ones they carry!
As you probably already know, Be A Heart is one of my very favorites. It’s a woman-owned, Catholic shop with everything from home goods and decor to baby toys and swaddles. If you’re shopping for your mom or mother-in-law, I love this tea towel or fruits of the Holy Spirit print for a kitchen. The new Mary dolls would make the sweetest gift for a little girl, and I just ordered this wooden rosary teether for baby girl. Also totally tempted to get one of the new banners for the playroom! Oh, and her Christmas line is perfect. These ornaments!
If you’re looking for beautiful, wooden, Waldorf style toys for your little ones, I’ve always loved everything Wild Creek Co. carries. Terra is another female/mother shop owner who carefully selects each product according to how it invites the child into imaginative and open-ended play. It’s my go-to shop for Christmas and birthday gifts.
For timeless, classic Christmas gifts or decor you’ll have forever and ever, Heirloom Art Co. has absolutely stunning, handmade pieces. This wooden arch nativity, oh my; so beautiful and unique. I also came across this leather journal and I love that it could be used for anything (and could go either masculine or feminine!). For the homemaker, this Anne of Green Gables cookbook is darling. Also thinking my mom or sister would love this canvas wall organizer for their kitchen or pantry.
Homesong Market, yet another woman/mother-owned business, has the loveliest new and thrifted home goods you’ll ever find. It makes my homemaker’s heart happy.
Blessed Is She has tons of great gift ideas for sisters, moms, friends, mother-in-laws, etc. My mom got me their planner a couple years ago and it was the best. The journaling bible would also make a great gift! And really really loving this rosary bracelet. Everything is currently 20% off with code BISGRATEFUL.
Anyone else think a monthly subscription to coffee would make the best gift ever? Guadalupe Roastery is a farmer first organization that has direct trade relationships with farmers in Nicaragua, Honduras, Uganda, Peru, Colombia and the Congo. Each bag of coffee beans you purchase directly helps improve the income and quality of life of these farmers and their families. It’s such a cool business!! Catholic-owned, fair trade online coffee shop? Count me in. I ordered their Nicaragua Dark Roast and highly highly recommend! Use code EMILY for a discount at checkout 🙂
Treasures from Jennifer is another great shop if you’re looking for Montessori style toys and educational tools. The boys would love this bow and arrow set.
I found DPottery the other day when I was looking for a handmade match holder, and his shop is delightful. So simple and pretty.
That’s it for now! I know I’m missing some, but it’s a good start. Tell me your go-to small shops!
